Hello and welcome to LIVE coverage of this Serie A clash between Inter and Cagliari!
Inter enter the match sitting just four points behind Juventus at the Serie A summit, and Antonio Conte’s side will be aiming to keep the pressure on the champions with victory in this San Siro meeting. The Milan side have enjoyed an impressive league season so far following their fourth-placed finish last term, but they enter this match against Cagliari having drawn their last two Serie A matches following a 1-1 tie with Lecce last time out.
Cagliari are sitting seventh in the Serie A table having also improved their league performance this campaign, but the Sardinia outfit have failed to win any of their last six league games which has seen them lose ground in the top-four race. However, Rolando Maran’s side did manage to end their miserable four-game losing run when they drew 2-2 with Brescia last weekend.

Inter enter the break with a one-goal lead of their seventh-placed opponents with Martinez having put Conte's me in front after 29 minutes. Cagliari dominated possession in the opening stages of the match which led to Simeone squandering an early effort over the bar, while Inter thought they had taken the lead moments later when Barella was adjudged to have been offside after nodding home Bastoni's long pass. The hosts then started to apply more pressure after this disallowed goal and they broke the deadlock when Martinez rose highest to direct Young's fine delivery into the bottom of the net. Farago had a good opportunity for Cagliari on the brink of half-time, but it remains 1-0 to Inter at the break.
The players are now back on the pitch ahead of the second half.
Inter will now be looking to return to winning ways in their Coppa Italia quarter-final tie against Fiorentina in midweek before their trip to Udinese next weekend, while Cagliari will be aiming to build on this encouraging point when they make the trip to face Parma in Serie A on Saturday.
